Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2
Prepare the bundt pan
Grease and flour (or use cocoa powder) the inside of a bundt pan to prevent sticking.
Mixing the Ingredients
- 3
Melt chocolate and butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
- 4
Combine dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- 5
Mix wet ingredients
In the bowl with the melted chocolate and butter, add the granulated sugar and mix until combined. Then add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well until the mixture is smooth.
- 6
Combine wet and dry mixtures
Gradually fold in the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
Baking
- 7
Pour batter
Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- 8
Bake the cake
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
- 9
Cool the cake
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then carefully invert the cake onto a wire rack to cool completely.
