Preparation
- 1
Mixing the Dough
In a mixing bowl, combine the timilia flour and salt. Gradually add the water while stirring the mixture with a wooden spoon or spatula until a dough begins to form.
- 2
Kneading
Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, add a small amount of flour as needed.
Cooking
- 3
Resting the Dough
Cover the kneaded dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes to allow the gluten to relax.
- 4
Shaping
After resting, divide the dough into smaller portions. Shape each portion into a flat disc or desired shape.
- 5
Cooking the Timilia
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a tablespoon of olive oil and cook each shaped dough disc for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
