Prepare Calabrian Butter

Make the Calabrian Butter
In a medium bowl, mix the softened unsalted butter with Calabrian chili paste until well combined. Adjust the amount of chili paste to your desired spiciness.

Toast the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Drizzle the sourdough bread slices with Biancolilla olive oil on both sides. Place them on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 8-10 minutes or until golden and crispy.
Assemble the Anchovy Toast

Top the Toast
Remove the toasted bread from the oven. Spread a generous layer of Calabrian butter on each slice. Top each slice with 2 pieces of Cantabrian anchovies and 2 pieces of boquerones.

Add Mint and Bottarga
Sprinkle the mint bottarga over the anchovies and garnish with fresh mint leaves. Drizzle with a little extra olive oil if desired.
