Unadon (Eel over Rice)

    Prepare Sushi Rice

    Cook sushi rice according to package instructions and let it cool slightly.

    Grill Eel

    Grill the eel until heated through and caramelized, then brush with unagi sauce.

    Assemble Unadon

    In a bowl, layer the sushi rice, top with grilled eel, drizzle additional unagi sauce, and garnish with nori strips.

Dumplings

    Make Filling

    In a bowl, combine ground pork, green onions, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Mix well.

    Fill Dumplings

    Place a spoonful of filling onto each dumpling wrapper, fold and seal tightly.

    Cook Dumplings

    Steam or pan-fry dumplings until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

Noodles

    Boil the soba noodles according to package instructions, then rinse under cold water.

    Season Noodles

    In a bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, and scallions. Toss noodles in this mixture.

California Roll

    Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt into the cooked sushi rice.

    Assemble Roll

    On a sheet of nori, spread a thin layer of sushi rice, then layer cucumber, avocado, and crab meat. Roll tightly.

    Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into bite-sized pieces.

Squid Salad

    Blanch squid in boiling water for 1-2 minutes until opaque, then cool.

    In a bowl, combine squid, cucumbers, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and cilantro. Toss gently.

Seaweed Salad

    Soak wakame in warm water for 10-15 minutes until rehydrated, then drain.

    In a bowl, combine rehydrated wakame, rice vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, and toasted sesame seeds. Toss to combine.
