Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tofu

Begin by draining the firm tofu. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and press gently to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.

  2. 2

    Slice the Scallions

Wash the scallions thoroughly. Slice the green parts finely and set aside for garnish. The white parts can be added to the dish.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Nori

Using scissors, cut the nori sheet into thin strips or small squares for topping the tofu.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Steam the Tofu

Place the tofu cubes in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper. Steam over boiling water for about 10-15 minutes until heated through.

  2. 5

    Season the Tofu

Once the tofu is steamed, transfer it to a serving dish. Drizzle the soy sauce over the tofu, and gently toss to ensure even coating.

  3. 6

    Add Scallions and Nori

Sprinkle the sliced scallions (both green and white parts) over the tofu. Top with nori strips.

Serving

  1. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds and chili flakes over the dish for added flavor. Serve warm as an appetizer or side dish.
