Salad Ingredients

Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Rehydrate Seaweed

Place the dried wakame in a bowl and cover it with warm water. Let it soak for about 10 minutes until it expands and becomes tender.

  2. 2

    Prepare Vegetables

While the seaweed is soaking, wash and thinly slice the cucumber, carrot, and radishes. For the cucumber, you can either julienne or slice it into rounds. For the carrot, use a peeler or a grater to turn it into thin strips.

  3. 3

    Drain Seaweed

Once the seaweed has soaked, drain it in a colander and rinse it under cold water to remove any excess salt. Squeeze out any excess water gently.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rehydrated seaweed, sliced cucumber, carrot, and radishes. Toss them gently to mix.

  5. 5

    Add Seasoning

Sprinkle the sesame seeds and chopped green onions over the salad mixture. If desired, add salt and pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the seaweed salad chilled or at room temperature. It can be garnished with additional sesame seeds if desired.
