Method
Chicken Bulgogi
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, gochujang, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, and black pepper. Mix well. Add the boneless chicken thighs, ensuring they're well-coated. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- 2
Cook the Chicken
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken along with the marinade. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until the chicken is fully cooked and caramelized. Remove from heat and slice into strips.
Dumplings
- 3
Prepare the Dumplings
In a pot, boil water. Add frozen dumplings and cook according to package instructions (usually about 5-7 minutes).
- 4
Serve the Dumplings
Drain the dumplings and serve with a dipping sauce made from soy sauce and sesame oil.
Noodles
- 5
Cook the Noodles
Boil water in a pot and cook the noodles according to package instructions (usually 5-7 minutes for udon or soba). Drain and rinse under cold water.
- 6
Season the Noodles
In a bowl, toss the cooked noodles with soy sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
California Roll
- 7
Prepare the Sushi Rice
Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice with water according to package instructions. Once cooked, mix in rice vinegar and let it cool slightly.
- 8
Assemble the Rolls
Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving an inch at the top. Place cucumber, avocado, and crab sticks in the center. Roll tightly and slice into pieces. Repeat with the second nori sheet.
- 9
Garnish
Sprinkle sesame seeds on the outside of the rolls for added flavor.
