Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tofu

Drain the firm tofu and press it between paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut it into 1-inch cubes.

  2. 2

    Chop the Scallions

Wash the scallions and chop them finely, separating the green tops from the white bottoms.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Nori

Cut the nori sheet into strips or squares, depending on your preference for serving.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Steam the Tofu

Place the tofu cubes in a steaming basket lined with parchment paper (to prevent sticking). Steam over boiling water for about 10 minutes until heated through.

  2. 5

    Add Seasoning

Once the tofu is steamed, transfer it to a serving dish. Drizzle the soy sauce over the tofu evenly.

  3. 6

    Garnish

Sprinkle the chopped white parts of the scallions over the tofu, followed by the green tops. Add nori strips on top of the tofu for added flavor.

  4. 7

    Optional Additions

If desired, drizzle sesame oil and sprinkle red pepper flakes over the dish to enhance the flavor.
