Method
Cocktail
- 1
Prepare the shaker
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice to properly chill and dilute the drink.
- 2
Combine ingredients
Pour 2 oz NA Aperitivo, 1 oz NA Cucumber Serrano shrub, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 1 oz fresh pineapple juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup into the shaker.
- 3
Shake
Shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until the shaker feels very cold (this both chills and integrates the flavors).
- 4
Double strain
Double-strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or rocks glass filled with fresh ice using a Hawthorne strainer and fine mesh strainer to remove small bits of serrano seed or pulp.
- 5
Top (optional)
If you prefer a lighter, fizzier finish, top with about 1 oz soda water. Gently stir once to combine.
Garnish
- 6
Thread a thin cucumber ribbon and a serrano slice onto a cocktail pick and rest across the rim, or float the cucumber ribbon inside the drink and spear a pineapple wedge on the rim. If using a serrano slice, taste it first to ensure heat level is appropriate—remove seeds for milder heat.
