1

Prepare ingredients

Brew a strong espresso shot (about 1 oz) and allow it to cool to room temperature (or use cold-brew concentrate). If you don't have ready-made vanilla syrup, make 1:1 simple syrup infused with a split vanilla bean or 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract per 4 oz syrup and measure 0.5 oz for the recipe.

2

Combine and chill

Add 2 oz Lyre's NA Coffee Spirit, 1 oz Lyre's NA Dark Cane Spirit (or NA rum alternative), 1 oz cooled espresso (or cold-brew concentrate), 0.5 oz vanilla syrup, and 2 dashes NA coffee bitters into a cocktail shaker.

3

Add ice and shake vigorously

Fill the shaker with about 6 ice cubes and shake vigorously for 12–20 seconds. The goal is to chill the mixture thoroughly and create a frothy, creamy top from the espresso's crema and vigorous aeration.

4

Double strain and serve

Fine-strain the shaken cocktail into a chilled coupe or martini glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer to remove ice shards and ensure a smooth texture.

5

Garnish

Float three coffee beans on top of the foam as a traditional espresso martini garnish.

6

Serve immediately. Estimated single serving yields approximately 1 standard cocktail.
