Fries
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips to form fries.
- 2
Soak the Fries
Place the cut fries in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep pot or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Seasoning Mix
In a small bowl, mix together the salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, and black pepper.
- 5
Fry the Potatoes
Drain and dry the soaked fries. Fry them in batches for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- 6
Season the Fries
Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. While still hot, sprinkle the seasoning mix over the fries and toss to coat.
- 7
Serve
Serve the Hops Fries hot, with your favorite dipping sauce.
