Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick. Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch, then soak in water for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Dry the Potatoes

After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). You can use a thermometer to check the temperature.

  4. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add a handful of dried potato strips to the hot oil. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5

    Drain and Season

Once fried, remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. While still hot, sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the crispy French fries immediately while hot and enjoy!
