Classic Cheeseburger Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently and form into two equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty after flipping, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, split the burger buns and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, layer lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, and pickles. Add ketchup and mustard to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Place the top half of the bun on the assembled ingredients and serve immediately.
