Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Method

Preparing the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently using your hands until well combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up during cooking.

Cooking the Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip the patties, then place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties reach your desired level of doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns and Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves, slice the tomato and onion into thick slices.

  2. 6

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese. Top with a slice of tomato, a slice of onion, pickles, and your desired amount of ketchup and mustard. Place the top half of the bun on top to complete the burger.
