Main Ingredients

Method

Pork Tenderloin Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Pork

Rub the pork tenderloin all over with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Sear the Pork

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned pork tenderloin and sear on all sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  3. 3

    Transfer to Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). After searing, transfer the skillet to the oven and roast the pork for about 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

  4. 4

    Rest the Pork

Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Gravy Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the Roux

In the same skillet used for the pork (do not clean), melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture is golden brown.

  2. 6

    Add Broth

Slowly whisk in the beef broth, ensuring there are no lumps. Bring to a simmer.

  3. 7

    Season the Gravy

Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Continue to simmer for about 5 minutes until the gravy thickens.
