Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Patty Ingredients

In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Sauté the Mushrooms

  1. 3

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic, cooking until the mushrooms are golden and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in chopped parsley and remove from heat.

Cook the Burgers

  1. 4

    Grill the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C). During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.

Prepare the French Fries

  1. 5

    Cook the Fries

Prepare the frozen French fries according to the package instructions, usually baking or frying until golden brown and crispy. Season with salt to taste.

Assemble the Burgers

  1. 6

    Build Your Burger

On each burger bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, sautéed mushrooms, a slice of tomato, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
