Prepare the Crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar.

Add Butter
Pour the melted butter into the crumb mixture and mix until it resembles wet sand.

Form the Crust
Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan evenly and firmly.

Bake the Crust
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, then remove and allow to cool slightly.
Filling

Mix Cream Cheese
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

Add Sugar and Sour Cream
Gradually add the granulated sugar and sour cream to the cream cheese, mixing until well blended.

Incorporate Vanilla and Eggs
Add the vanilla extract and then add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just blended.

Pour Filling into Crust
Pour the cheesecake filling into the cooled graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly.

Bake the Cheesecake
Bake the cheesecake in the oven at 325°F (160°C) for approximately 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

Cool and Chill
Turn off the oven and crack the door open, allowing the cheesecake to cool in the oven for 1 hour. Then, remove and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
