Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Romaine Lettuce
Wash the head of Romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold running water. Dry the leaves using a salad spinner or by patting them gently with a clean kitchen towel.
- 2
Chop the Lettuce
Remove the core of the Romaine lettuce and chop the leaves into bite-sized pieces. Place the chopped lettuce in a large salad bowl.
- 3
Add Croutons and Parmesan Cheese
Sprinkle the croutons over the chopped lettuce, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese.
Dressing Preparation
- 4
Make the Caesar Dressing
In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- 5
Taste and Adjust
Taste the dressing and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if desired.
Assembly
- 6
Combine Salad and Dressing
Drizzle the prepared Caesar dressing over the salad base in the large bowl. Toss the salad gently using salad tongs or two large spoons until the lettuce is well coated with the dressing.
- 7
Serve
Serve the Caesar salad immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese or croutons if desired.
