Sausages

Sauerkraut

Mashed Potatoes

Pickled Red Cabbage

Method

Prepare the Sausages

  1. 1

    Cook the Sausages

In a skillet over medium heat, cook your choice of sausages (Sausage 1 and Sausage 2) until browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes per side. If using the oven, preheat to 375°F (190°C) and bake sausages for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway.

Prepare the Sauerkraut

  1. 2

    Heat the Sauerkraut

In a small saucepan, heat the sauerkraut over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes until warmed through. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

  1. 3

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into equal-sized pieces. Place in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until tender.

  2. 4

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Use a potato masher or fork to mash until smooth and creamy.

Serve the Platter

  1. 5

    Assemble the Platter

On a large serving platter, arrange the cooked sausages alongside a generous scoop of sauerkraut, a portion of mashed potatoes, and a serving of pickled red cabbage. Serve hot.
