Pretzel Sticks

Haus Mustard

Method

Pretzel Sticks

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Knead Dough

Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

  3. 3

    First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  4. 4

    Shape Pretzels

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope (about 12-14 inches) and shape into a pretzel.

  5. 5

    Baking Soda Bath

In a large pot, bring 10 cups of water to a boil and add baking soda. Boil each pretzel for about 30 seconds, then remove and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  6. 6

    Bake

Sprinkle coarse sea salt on top of each pretzel and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Bier Cheese Dip

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, beer, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and paprika.

  2. 8

    Melt and Stir

Stir the mixture continuously until the cheeses are melted and the dip is smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.

Haus Mustard

  1. 9

    Mix Mustard Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine yellow mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, and garlic powder. Mix well until smooth.
