Method
Cooking the Pasta

Boil the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the elbow pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Making the Cheese Sauce

Add Milk
Gradually whisk in the milk, ensuring there are no lumps. Continue to cook and stir until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Cheese
Reduce the heat to low and add the cheddar cheese and cream cheese. Stir until completely melted and smooth.

Season the Sauce
Stir in salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well and remove from heat.
Combining Ingredients

Mix Pasta and Cheese Sauce
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked elbow pasta with the cheese sauce. Stir until the pasta is evenly coated.

Assembling the Dish

Layer the Mac & Cheese
In a serving dish, layer half of the mac and cheese. Add half of the BBQ brisket mixture on top and then layer the remaining mac and cheese.

Top with Remaining Brisket
Finish by adding the remaining BBQ brisket on top of the mac and cheese.

Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle sliced green onions and paprika over the top. Serve hot.
