Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Proteins

Choose any of the proteins (Chicken Tinga, Grilled Chicken, Pulled Pork, Ground Beef, or Grilled Veggies) and cook them as desired. For Chicken Tinga, simmer shredded chicken with chipotle sauce. For grilled chicken, season and grill until cooked through. For ground beef, brown in a skillet, and for pulled pork, slow-cook until tender.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Rice and Beans

Cook the lupita rice according to package instructions. For black beans, you can use canned beans; just rinse and heat them in a saucepan.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Toppings

Chop the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. Grate the cheese if using a block. Prepare pico de gallo by mixing diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro, lime juice, and jalapeños.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Salsas

For salsa roja and salsa verde, you can either buy them pre-made or prepare your own by blending tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and peppers for roja and tomatillos, jalapeños, and cilantro for verde.

  5. 5

    Grill the Limes

Slice the limes in half and place them on a hot grill for a few minutes until charred.

  6. 6

    Serve

Set up a taco bar with all the prepared ingredients. Allow guests to build their own tacos using the tortillas, proteins, rice, beans, toppings, and salsas.
