Muffin Ingredients

Method

Muffin Directions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin by greasing it or lining it with muffin liners.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

  5. 5

    Add Chocolate Chips

If using, fold in the chocolate chips gently into the batter.

  6. 6

    Fill Muffin Tin

Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.

  7. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. 8

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool in the tin for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Serve warm or at room temperature.
