Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Pork

Season the pork shoulder with salt and pepper. Slow cook it in a crockpot or oven until tender (about 6-8 hours on low in a crockpot or 3-4 hours at 300°F in the oven). Shred the pork once cooked.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

Slice the French bread loaf lengthwise, creating a pocket for the fillings.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread mustard and mayonnaise on both sides of the bread. Layer the shredded pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, lettuce, and tomato inside the bread.

  4. 4

    Grill the Sandwich

Heat a skillet or panini press over medium heat. Place the assembled sandwich in the skillet, pressing down gently. Grill until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted, about 4-5 minutes per side.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
