Cranberry Juice Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Cranberries
Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold water to remove any dirt or debris. Discard any that are damaged or mushy.
- 2
Cook the Cranberries
In a large pot, combine the rinsed cranberries and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the cranberries are soft and have burst.
- 3
Strain the Juice
Remove the pot from heat. Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the cranberry mixture into a large bowl or pitcher. Press the cranberries with the back of a spoon to extract as much juice as possible.
