Cast On
Cast on 80 stitches using the wool yarn onto the knitting needles.

Ribbing
Knit in a rib pattern (K2, P2) for 2 inches to create a stretchy brim.

Main Body
Continue knitting in stockinette stitch (knit every row) until the hat measures 8 inches from the cast-on edge.

Decreasing
Begin decreasing by knitting 8 stitches, then knitting 2 together. Repeat until you have 10 stitches left.

Finishing Up
Cut the yarn, leaving a long tail. Thread the tail through the remaining stitches and pull tight to close the top of the hat. Weave in any loose ends.
