Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ham

Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Place the Broadbent's Country Ham in a large roasting pan, cut side down. Add water to the pan.

  2. 2

    Glaze Preparation

In a medium bowl, mix the brown sugar, honey, and Dijon mustard until well combined to create the glaze.

  3. 3

    Score the Ham

Using a sharp knife, score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern. Insert whole cloves into the intersections of the cuts.

  4. 4

    Apply the Glaze

Brush the glaze generously over the surface of the ham, making sure to get it into the scored areas.

  5. 5

    Roasting

Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and roast in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes per pound, basting with the glaze every 30 minutes. Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of cooking to caramelize the glaze.

  6. 6

    Rest and Serve

Once the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C), remove it from the oven. Let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
