Prepare the Steaks
Remove the filet mignon steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This will help them cook more evenly.

Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat until hot. Add the steaks to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.

Check for Doneness
For medium-rare, the internal temperature should be around 130°F (54°C). Adjust cooking time according to your desired doneness.

Rest the Steaks
Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Serve the filet mignon with your choice of sauces and sides.
