BURGERS

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, add the hickory smoked bacon slices. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through. Once cooked, transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, then divide the mixture into four equal portions. Form each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the patties reach your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf followed by a cooked patty with melted cheese. Top with a slice of tomato, some onion rings, and 1-2 slices of crispy bacon. Add ketchup and mustard to taste, then place the top half of the bun to complete the burger.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the burgers immediately with your favorite sides, such as fries or a salad.
