Brown the Beef
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the Hereford beef and season with salt and black pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.

Season the Mixture
Stir in the chili powder, cumin, and cayenne pepper, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until the spices are well combined and fragrant.

Combine Ingredients in Slow Cooker
Transfer the beef mixture to a slow cooker. Add the black beans and beef broth. Stir to combine all ingredients.

Slow Cook the Chili
Cover the slow cooker and set it on low heat. Cook for 6-8 hours or until the beef is tender and the flavors meld together.

Finish and Serve
Once cooked, taste and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed. Stir in fresh cilantro just before serving. Serve hot.
