FRIES

Method

FRIES

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to create fries. Soak the potato strips in water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.

  3. 3

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with a paper towel. Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per batch. Remove fries and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

  4. 4

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle salt, black pepper, and paprika over them to taste. Toss gently to coat.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Onion Strings

In a separate pan, heat a small amount of oil over medium heat. Add the onion strings and fry until crispy and golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Melt the Cheese

In a microwave-safe bowl, add the cheddar cheese and heat in the microwave for about 30 seconds, or until melted.

  7. 7

    Assemble the Animal Fries

On a serving platter, layer the fries, top with the crispy onion strings, and drizzle the melted cheddar cheese over everything.
