Method

Directions

  1. 1

Prepare the Peanut Butter Cream Cheese

In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Egg Mixture

In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  3. 3

    Assemble the French Toast

Spread a generous layer of the peanut butter cream cheese mixture on one side of two slices of challah. Top with the other two slices to create sandwiches.

  4. 4

    Cook the French Toast

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Once melted, dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds, then transfer to the skillet. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Repeat with remaining sandwiches.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Mixed Berry Coulis

In a small saucepan, combine mixed berries and sugar. Cook over medium heat until the berries break down and create a sauce, about 5-7 minutes. Mash slightly with a fork for a smoother texture.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the French toast warm, drizzled with mixed berry coulis and maple syrup.
