Fried Chicken Sandwich Ingredients
Method
Fried Chicken Sandwich Directions
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine buttermilk, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts and ensure they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- 2
Prepare the Coating
In a separate bowl, add the all-purpose flour and season with additional salt, paprika, and black pepper if desired.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess buttermilk to drip off. Dredge the chicken in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess. Carefully place the chicken in the hot oil and fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Assemble the Sandwich
Toast the brioche buns lightly. Spread chipotle aioli on both halves of the bun. Layer with lettuce, fried chicken, tomato slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
