Pasta

Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil the pasta

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Cooking Seafood

  1. 2

    Prepare the seafood

In a large skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the shrimp and scallops. Cook for 2-3 minutes until they start to turn pink and opaque. Add the mussels and cover the skillet. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until the mussels open. Discard any mussels that do not open.

Making Garlic Cream Sauce

  1. 3

    Prepare the sauce

In the same skillet with the seafood, add 4 minced garlic cloves and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.

  2. 4

    Finish the sauce

Stir in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of black pepper. Add 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley for freshness.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 5

    Combine pasta and sauce

Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic cream sauce and seafood. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated through.

  2. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley and grated Parmesan if desired.
