Method

Halibut Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Halibut

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the halibut fillets and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Halibut

Preheat a grill or a skillet over medium heat. Cook the marinated halibut for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked through and flaky.

Chips

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips to make fries.

  2. 4

    Fry the Chips

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Remove and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt immediately.

Coleslaw

  1. 5

    Prepare the Vegetables

Shred the green cabbage and grate the carrot using a box grater or food processor.

  2. 6

    Make the Dressing

In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 7

    Combine and Serve

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, carrot, and dressing. Mix well and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving.
