Battered Halibut

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. Gradually whisk in the cold water until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Halibut
Dip the halibut fillets into the batter, allowing excess to drip off. Carefully place the battered halibut in the hot oil and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Dip each black tiger shrimp into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated. Fry the shrimp in the hot oil for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
