Method
Preparation of Halibut
- 1
Preheat the oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2
Prepare the halibut
Rinse the halibut fillet under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Season the halibut
Drizzle the halibut fillet with olive oil and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- 4
Add garlic and lemon
Mince the garlic cloves and sprinkle them over the halibut. Squeeze the juice of half the lemon over the fish, and slice the other half into wedges to place on top.
- 5
Chop parsley
Finely chop the fresh parsley and sprinkle it over the halibut for added flavor.
- 6
Bake the halibut
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the halibut flakes easily with a fork.
Optional Side Preparation
- 7
Prepare asparagus
While the halibut is baking, wash the asparagus and trim the tough ends off. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- 8
Roast asparagus
Place the asparagus on another baking sheet and roast in the oven for the last 10 minutes of the halibut’s cooking time.
- 9
Prepare cherry tomatoes
Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half. Add them to the baking sheet with the asparagus for the last 5 minutes of cooking.
