Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Halibut

Place the halibut fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure all fillets are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 450°F or 190°C to 230°C). Make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Grill the Halibut

Remove the halibut from the marinade and place it on the preheated grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the fillets, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  3. 5

    Check for Doneness

The halibut should be opaque and have grill marks. If using a cooking thermometer, the internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Halibut

Once grilled, carefully remove the halibut from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve on a plate, garnished with lemon slices and additional parsley if desired.

  2. 7

    Enjoy!

Serve immediately while hot, paired with your choice of sides like grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
