Chicken Wings
Chips
Method
Chicken Wings Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- 2
- 3
Bread the Chicken Wings
Coat each wing first in flour, shaking off the excess, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure each wing is well coated.
- 4
Fry the Wings
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken wings in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 8-10 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
- 5
Bake for Crispiness
Transfer the fried wings to a baking sheet lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Then place them in the oven for an additional 10 minutes to achieve extra crispiness.
Chips Preparation
- 6
Prepare the Potatoes
While the wings are baking, wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.
- 7
Fry the Chips
In a separate large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the potato strips in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 8
Season the Chips
Sprinkle the fried chips with salt while they are still hot. Toss gently to coat.
