Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash with butter and milk until creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sirloin

Season the sirloin steak with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Broccolini

While the steak is resting, steam the broccolini for about 5-7 minutes until tender but still bright green.

  4. 4

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, serve a generous scoop of mashed potatoes, top with the sirloin steak, add the steamed broccolini on the side, and garnish with fried onion strings on top.
