Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fruits

Slice the orange, lemon, and lime into thin rounds. Core and dice the apple into small pieces. If using strawberries, hull and halve them. For blueberries or raspberries, leave them whole. Combine all the prepared fruits in a large pitcher.

  2. 2

    Mix the Liquids

In the same pitcher, pour in the red wine (or Rosé) and orange juice. Stir gently to combine the flavors.

  3. 3

    Add Sweeteners & Spices

Add 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and the cinnamon stick to the mixture. Stir until the sugar is dissolved completely.

  4. 4

    Chill

Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results, to allow the flavors to meld together.

Serving

  1. 5

    Add Club Soda

Just before serving, pour in the club soda (or lemon-lime soda) to add fizz. Stir gently to combine.

  2. 6

    Garnish

If desired, add fresh mint leaves for garnish. Serve the sangria over ice in glasses, making sure to include some of the fruit pieces in each glass.
