Method

Cooking Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add a generous pinch of salt.

  2. 2

    Cook Pasta

Add the penne pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, typically 10-12 minutes, until al dente.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.

Sautéing Vegetables

  1. 4

    Heat Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 6

    Add Vegetables

Add the chopped bell pepper, zucchini, carrot, broccoli florets, and cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 7

    Combine Pasta and Vegetables

Add the drained penne pasta to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Toss everything together to combine.

  2. 8

    Season

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

  3. 9

    Add Cheese

Remove from heat and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta primavera. Toss to combine until the cheese is melted and evenly distributed.

Serving

  1. 10

    Plate and Serve

Serve the pasta primavera warm, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.
