Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2
Prepare Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut them in half.
Making the Balsamic Glaze
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar, honey, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
- 4
Simmer the Glaze
Heat the mixture over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, or until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat and let cool.
Cooking the Brussels Sprouts
- 5
Toss with Glaze
In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with the balsamic glaze until they are well coated.
- 6
Roast the Sprouts
Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown, tossing halfway through for even cooking.
Finishing Touches
- 7
Add Parmesan
Once the Brussels sprouts are done roasting, remove them from the oven and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- 8
Serve
Serve warm as a side dish or appetizer, drizzled with any remaining balsamic glaze if desired.
