Method

Crust

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crust

In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated with butter and the mixture resembles wet sand.

  2. 2

    Press the Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to create an even layer. Use the back of a measuring cup to pack it down tightly.

  3. 3

    Bake the Crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the crust for about 10 minutes, then remove it from the oven and let it cool while you prepare the cheesecake filling.

Cheesecake Filling

  1. 4

    Mix the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth and creamy.

  2. 5

    Add Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Be sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl to incorporate all the ingredients.

  3. 6

    Add Vanilla and Sour Cream

Stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream until well combined.

  4. 7

    Pour the Filling

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan, spreading it evenly.

  5. 8

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for an hour.

  6. 9

    Chill the Cheesecake

After cooling, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight to set completely.

Baklava Topping

  1. 10

    Prepare the Topping

In a small bowl, mix together the chopped walnuts and ground cinnamon.

  2. 11

    Drizzle with Butter and Honey

Once the cheesecake is fully set, drizzle melted butter and honey over the top. Sprinkle the walnut and cinnamon mixture evenly across the surface.

  3. 12

    Serve

Slice the cheesecake and serve chilled, enjoying the delightful combination of cheesecake and baklava flavors.
