Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Season the grilled chicken with salt and black pepper. Grill over medium heat until fully cooked, about 6-7 minutes per side. Slice and set aside.
- 2
Roast the Garlic
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the top off the head of garlic, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 30-35 minutes until soft. Squeeze out the roasted garlic cloves and mash them.
- 3
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, boil salted water and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 4
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the roasted garlic and cook for 1 minute. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- 5
Combine Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked fettuccine, Alfredo sauce, sliced grilled chicken, and chopped green onions. Mix gently until everything is coated.
- 6
Bake with Cheese
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Gruyere cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- 7
Serve
Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with additional green onions if desired.
