Prepare the Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine equal parts sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool.
Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well until chilled.
Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a champagne flute or coupe glass.
Top It Off
Slowly top the drink with Prosecco.
Garnish
Garnish with a twist of lemon peel on top.
