Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patty

In a bowl, combine the ground Angus chuck brisket with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to combine without overworking the meat. Form into 4 equal patties, about ¾ inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Once hot, cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. If adding cheese, place the cheese slices on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the brioche buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer the lettuce, a slice of tomato, the cooked patty with melted cheese, pickles, and finally the top half of the bun.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve immediately with your choice of sides, such as fries or a salad.
