Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. 3

    Add Butter

Cut the unsalted butter into small pieces and add it to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. 4

    Add Milk

Pour in the milk and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 5

    Shape the Biscuits

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for a few seconds. Pat the dough to a 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter.

  6. 6

    Bake

Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven and brush the tops with melted butter before serving warm.
