Method
Brownie Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt Butter and Combine Sugars
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in granulated and brown sugar until well combined.
- 3
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then stir in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- 4
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- 5
Fold in Chocolate Chips and Pecans
Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
- 6
Bake the Brownies
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 7
Cool and Slice
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before lifting them out and slicing them into squares.
- 8
Serve with Toppings
Serve warm brownies topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, whipped topping, a drizzle of caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, and a sprinkle of additional chopped pecans.
