Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Ginger & Soy Broth
In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, grated ginger, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Sesame Crust
In a shallow dish, combine sesame seeds, salt, black pepper, and togarashi seasoning. Mix well.
- 3
Crust the Tuna
Coat each tuna steak in the sesame mixture, pressing gently to ensure it sticks.
- 4
Cook the Tuna
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sesame-crusted tuna steaks and sear for about 2 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
- 5
Prepare the Peanut Topping
In a small bowl, mix crushed peanuts with a pinch of togarashi seasoning.
- 6
Serve
Slice the seared tuna steaks and arrange them on a plate. Drizzle with the ginger soy broth and sprinkle with togarashi peanuts. Serve immediately.
